TLYC x Camp Color Collection – Cadenza Wrap and LoFi Cowl Patterns

If you enjoy both neutral and bold shades in your crochet, then you’ll love the new High Fidelity Collection from Camp Color, a vibrant offshoot of the more conservative Shibui Knits. I’m proud to present two new patterns for the High Fidelity collection – the Cadenza Wrap and the LoFi Cowl.

I’m always very particular when choosing companies to partner with. I like a partner with fun, fresh ideas that will challenge me to create something outside of my normal fare. Enter Camp Color, a vibrant offshoot of sister company Shibui Knits.

Shibui Knits and I have worked together before, most notably on my Monti Wrap design. This time around, I tapped into my rockstar vibes to design two brand-new patterns.

LoFi Cowl

Chill out to the rhythmic vibe of the LoFi Cowl. Like the beat of soothing instrumental hip hop, this generous infinity scarf transports you to another time and place. The excitement of reaching the next color propels you forward, encouraging you to say “Just one more row”. Before you know it, you’ll be wrapped in your new favorite cowl with your headphones on, bopping to a newfound playlist.

The beginner-friendly LoFi Cowl is made by holding two strands of Camp Color CC Fingering weight yarn together throughout the pattern. A repeating color change section is featured throughout, allowing the 6 colors used to blend seamlessly together. The generous infinity scarf can be easily adjusted for length and width, and you can swap the color order for a personalized piece.

Cadenza Wrap

Slip the Cadenza Wrap around your shoulders for an instant mood lift. Featuring 5 accent colors harmonized with a grounding neutral, this shawl begs to be the center of attention in your accessory wardrobe. The repeating pattern of the Tunisian crochet block stitch gives way to a subtle picot border, an intentionally feminine touch to the rockstar mentality of the Cadenza Wrap.

The Cadenza Wrap was an absolute blast to design. The Tunisian crochet block stitch is an engaging pattern already, but it’s made irresistible by the color blocking and bias triangle shaping in the design. The finish is a picot border done in the deep gray seen throughout the shawl. The picots add lightness and playfulness to the overall bold pattern. The PDF version includes a tutorial video that gets you through the setup and pattern stitch of the Cadenza Wrap.

Camp Color & The High Fidelity Collection

Camp Color was developed to be the yin to Shibui Knits yang. Where Shibui is elegant and reserved, Camp Color is audacious and loud. High Fidelity is the first color story to come out of Camp Color. Inspired by all things classic music, High Fidelity features 5 tonal shades on the new CC Fingering base.

From left to right:

• Audiophile, a juicy and bright red-orange
• Hype Sticker, the deeper side of sunny yellow
• Deep Tracks, a moody dark gray
• Dead Wax, a mid-toned denim blue
• B-Side, where blue meets gray meets chill

CC Fingering is a 100% superwash merino wool yarn that offers oh-so-soft luxury while still being machine washable. You get 190 yards/50g skein, making this the perfect yarn for colorwork and other small projects.
