The design for the Sophia Cardi was inspired by the simplicity and freshness that spring brings. The combination of lightweight yarn and basic shapes makes for a piece that is flattering for all body types and can be styled in infinite ways. Beginner crocheters will appreciate how easy the Sophia Cardi is to make while advanced makers will whiz through this easy project. Each panel is made separately then seamed together for a perfect fit.

Achieving a spring-ready cardigan is no easy task. The Sophia Cardi went through dozens of variations before I found the perfect stitch and yarn combination. The modified V-stitch I landed on allows the sweater to breathe while the 100% Merino wool offers warmth without heaviness. The color blocking brings personality to the piece without being overly warm.
