I really love the Summer tee and Im thinking I make that into a dress. Now Can I use a size 10 thread yarn instead of the normal yarn?
June 28, 2018 at 12:40 amHi Pesina! Thanks for your message. You’re welcome to adjust the pattern for the yarn you’d like to use. I’d love to see the Summertime Tee as a dress 🙂
July 1, 2018 at 1:51 pmHi Toni! Jeremias, in Brasil, we are in the winter, but certainly, I will do for the Spring. Thank you for sharing.
June 28, 2018 at 7:49 pmI’m so glad you like the pattern! I hope you’re able to wear it when it’s warmer 🙂
July 1, 2018 at 1:51 pmThinking about making this with Sugar’n Cream cotton. Do you think there will be a big difference in how the shirt turns out? I’m still learning which yarns go best with different projects.
July 21, 2018 at 9:32 pmHi Lindsie! Thanks for your question. I think you certainly could make this tee from Sugar n Cream cotton. It might stretch a good bit, as cotton doesn’t have much memory when crocheted. Account for that when determining how long to make your tee. Otherwise, I think you’re onto something with using cotton!

June 14, 2019 at 9:19 amHi, Toni! I love your designs and have decided to make your Summertime tee for myself. Also, I love the color on your nails in the tutorial—so much that I caught myself watching them instead of watching your actual work!😊😊 But, the tutorial is great. I’ve never done an extended single crochet but I like how it works up.
July 22, 2019 at 7:53 amlol! I hear that a lot! There’s just something awesome about a colorful nail 🙂 I really hope your enjoy your new top!
July 24, 2019 at 3:51 pmHi Toni,
I followed along with your tutorial and made this tee. But after the first wash, it stretched from being a tee into a dress :(…What did I do wrong?
Thanks

Hi Lakshmi – I’m so sorry to hear that! I always encourage makers to hand wash or just spot clean their pieces to maintain the shape. The best way to get it back to a tee would be to dampen it slightly, put it in a garment bag, and put it in the dryer on high for 15-minute intervals until it’s back to a shape you want it to be. That should do the trick.
August 28, 2019 at 12:16 pmHi Toni,
October 24, 2019 at 4:02 pmI found your site while looking for a fun pattern to use with my jean yarn. I am so thrilled to have found yours! I completed the summer tee and it’s super cute, I loved using the video while I was working on it because I’m much better when I see the work being done. I am excited to start in on another of your patterns (hopefully there are some more with videos!) Thank you for the time and energy you spent making this project a success!!
