Furls has always prided itself on its ergonomic design, which is present in each of its unique hook designs. According to their website, “Our hooks have always been, and always will be, designed to fit perfectly in your hand, reducing the strain and fatigue that comes from repetitive hand motions.” The Streamline hook design has been perfected over the past decade to optimize hand health and comfort.

Are you new to the Furls Streamline metal hook experience? Here are some important specs to know:

• Material: 100% Solid Aluminum.
• Available Sizes: E/3.50 mm to P/10.0 mm. Not all sizes are available in every color.
• Length: Approximately 6.75 inches
• Diameter: 17 mm at the widest point for optimal comfort
• Weight: Approximately 2.1-2.4 oz, depending on the size.

Easy on the Eyes and Easy on the Hands

The very first hook I ever crocheted with was a metal Susan Bates inline hook. Since then, I’ve tried every kind of hook I could get my hands on, but my heart always goes back to metal. Metal hooks flow so smoothly, performing well with any fiber and stitch.

When Furls introduced their silver metal Streamline hooks, I jumped at the chance to try them. I’ve used them for nearly every project since. I was lucky enough to be gifted both the Onyx and Blush versions of the Streamlines recently and find I prefer the newer colors. They’re not as slippery as the Silver, making them even easier to use.
