Say MEOW to the Crochet Spike Stitch

While on the hunt for easy crochet stitches that can use a little bit of color (anyone else stash busting?!), I came across the Crochet Spike Stitch. The unassuming simple stitches and beginner-friendly color changes did not prepare me for how beautiful this stitch would turn out. And is it just me, or do you also see rows of sweet kitty cats perched on a ledge?
