GAUGE
6” = 11 stitches x 11 rows in pattern stitch with 12mm Tunisian crochet hook (yarn over counted as stitch for gauge and throughout the pattern)
ABBREVIATIONS
BLO = back loop only
Cc = change color
Ch = chain
Dec = decrease
Lp = loop
Lts = Last Tunisian Stitch
Rep = repeat
RetP = Return Pass
Sc = single crochet
Sk = skip
Sl St = slip stitch
Sp = space
St(s) = stitche(s)
Tks = Tunisian knit stitch
Tss = Tunisian simple stitch
WS = wrong side
Yo = yarn over

SPECIAL STITCHES
- Decrease (Dec): Insert into next stitch as for Tss, insert into next stitch as for tks, yarn over, pull through both stitches.
- Last Tunisian Stitch (Lts): Insert hook under BOTH vertical bars of the last stitch and complete as for Tss.
- Return Pass (RetP): Ch 1, (yarn over, pull through the next 2 loops on hook) until 1 loop remains on hook.
PATTERN NOTES
- Construction Note: The poncho is made in two parts – the Front and the Back. Begin with the Body of the Back, then add stitches to the width needed for the sleeves and stitch until the full length is achieved. For the Front, repeat the Back until you reach the Neck Shaping. Complete the Neck Shaping, seam the Front and Back together, then add the ribbed neckline using a traditional crochet hook.
- Yarn Weight: While Apricity is considered a category 6 -super bulky weight, I find the gauge to be closer to a category 5 – bulky weight. When substituting yarns, consider another category 5 – bulky weight yarn with animal fiber for a similar drape and gauge.

For Back-Body it’s says to rep row 2 for 11 ( 9, 11, 12) rows. Is it supposed to have 11 rows for the smallest size?
I’ve never tried Tunisian crochet, challenge accepted 😉
