- 6.5mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
FINISHED SIZE

PATTERN NOTES
- Feeling creative? Customize your square by creating a chart of 42 rows and 37 columns then fill it with your own design!
- Create multiple bobbins of each color before you begin. I created 6 bobbins of C and 5 bobbins of B.
- The Intarsia chart is read from the bottom-right corner – odd rows are RS and even rows are WS. Keep colors not in use on the wrong side of work.

INSTRUCTIONS
ROW 1 With C and 5.5mm hook, fsc 37. Alternately, ch 38, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across row, turn.
ROWS 2-42 Complete remaining rows in the chart using the Intarsia Crochet method. Each row is worked as follows – Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in each st across row, changing color as shown in chart, turn at end of row. White squares are worked in Color C, and black squares in Color B. When the square is complete, fasten off all colors not in use, then proceed to Standard Border.

STANDARD BORDER
- Change to 6.5mm crochet hook and ensure the square faces right side up.
- Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), single crochet 35 stitches evenly across the first edge of the square, placing increases and decreases where needed. At corner, ch 2 and rotate to work along the next edge.
- Single crochet 35 stitches evenly across the edge, placing increases and decreases where needed. At corner, ch 2 and rotate to work along the next edge.
- Repeat the last step for the remaining 2 sides. At the end of the round, join with a slip stitch in the first single crochet of the round. Fasten off and block your finished square to 12″ x 12″.
