Embrace Open Texture with the Tunisian Knit Mesh Stitch
One of my favorite aspects of Tunisian crochet is how closely it can mimic the look of knitting. I still haven’t mastered the magic of two needles, so it feels good to achieve the same effect with just one hook. The unique structure of Tunisian crochet stitches helps the texture of the Knit Mesh Stitch really pop. Try this stitch pattern for everything from curtains to cardigans, just like I did with the Sage Cardigan (a free pattern!).

The joy of this stitch comes with its simple, 1-row repeat. Alternate the Tunisian knit stitch with airy yarn overs for a beautiful texture that remains breathable. Practice this stitch with thick or thin yarns – it’s excellent for stash busting into a one-of-a-kind blanket.
