Timber Duo Pattern
When the stars align, you just gotta hold on tight for the ride. I found myself at the right time and right place when I met Ritual Dyes yarn shop owner Rachel at Our Maker Life in Portland. I’ve admired Rachel for a long time and was over the moon when she suggested a collaboration. We worked together to develop the Timber colorway, a magnificent patina color that reminds me of the PNW wilderness.
I was most excited to get my hands on Ritual Dyes Marona, which is a 100% Cormo yarn. Cormo is a blend of Corridale and Merino, creating a fluffy, springy yarn that was like heaven to crochet with. It was my first time using this fiber, but it certainly won’t be the last.

Known as a yarn eater, this stitch combines front- and back-post stitches for a highly textured fabric. But, the basketweave stitch is perfect for the Timber Duo. The dense fabric is great for keeping out the cold and holding the structure of the ear warmer and the cowl.
